Marguet Pére et Fils Shaman Grand Cru 2020

The Shaman wines are our introduction to Marguet, and give us a glimpse of the fruit purity and quality that transcends the entire range. 81% Pinot Noir and 19% Chardonnay from Bouzy and Ambonnay Grand Cru. The poise, energy and elegance of this wine really sets it apart, with slightly stewed/confected white fruits complimenting some ginger. There are hints of sweet root vegetable, parsnips in particular and also some Pinot fruits hinting at cranberry. The finish is incredibly clean and ever so slightly saline.
