Malcolm’s Creek Otiake Riesling 2013

Beautiful fresh aged Riesling, 2013 from the stunning Waitaki Valley region down south 20km from Central Otago.

It is a one off deal as the winery is closed and the owner aged 80 has retired and does not want to keep the stock, preferring to offer the wine at fair value for people to enjoy.

The wine is fresh, with good acidic structure, concentrated lime, honey and floral notes with great texture wrapped around charming minerality. Medium body, Dry style!

This wine will go well with a ceviche-style citrus-cured fish with a splash of orange zest and fresh chives, dill and coriander, or a classic goats cheese, salty anchovies and fried sage on a crunchy crostini.  Ie. raw, cured, smoked seafood, light aromatic cheeses and Asian flavours.
